ABOUT ME

With a background in furniture making, I craft handmade floating frames from regionally sourced hardwoods in my shop just outside of Asheville, North Carolina. Each frame is milled, assembled, and finished by hand using traditional woodworking techniques.
Each frame carries handmade touches such as softly eased corners and custom-created finishes that highlight the natural character of the wood. The result is a frame that serves as a quiet architectural element around the artwork—refining its presentation, completing the piece, and elevating its visual impact and value without competing with it. Gallery-style presentation is central to my approach, ensuring each work is displayed with care and sophistication.

My artist panels are made from formaldehyde-free plywood produced just minutes from Black Mountain and about thirty minutes from Asheville in a LEED-certified facility. The material is FSC® certified, meaning it comes from responsibly managed forests verified through the Forest Stewardship Council’s international certification system.
The plywood is manufactured using PureBond® technology, which utilizes a formaldehyde-free assembly process made from soy flour, water, and a wet-strength chemistry similar to that used in printed currency and food packaging. This premium plywood is exceptionally stable and engineered to resist the warping and twisting that commonly affects many wood panels, providing artists with a consistently flat and reliable surface for their work.

I offer custom sizes up to 48″ × 96″ and thicknesses up to 3″, so you can get the perfect panel for your specific project.

Materials & Sustainability

I work with regionally sourced lumber for my frames and materials that support responsible forestry and environmentally sound manufacturing. The artist panels are made from formaldehyde-free plywood produced just minutes from Black Mountain and about thirty minutes from Asheville in a LEED-certified facility. The plywood is FSC® certified, meaning the wood comes from forests that are responsibly managed and independently verified through the Forest Stewardship Council’s international certification system. This certification ensures careful forest stewardship, responsible harvest practices, and attention to environmental and social standards throughout the supply chain.
